The website 'www.farerco.com' is operating claiming to be the website for 'Farer & Co Associate'.

What is the scam?

The SRA has become aware of a website at 'www.farerco.com' is operating, falsely claiming to be the website of a genuine firm of solicitors and misusing the SRA ID number of a genuine firm of solicitors (see below).

The website provides an email address of 'info@farerco.com' and a telephone number of ‘+44 736 027 9688’ and displays the image of the SRA logo.

The SRA does not regulate a firm of solicitors called Farer & Co Associate’.

Any business or transaction through the website 'www.farerco.com' or the contact details above are not undertaken by a firm or individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.

Is there a genuine firm or person?

The SRA authorises and regulates a firm of solicitors called Farrer and Co LLP. The website for the firm is www.farrer.co.uk and the email domain used by the firm is @farrer.co.uk.

The SRA authorises and regulates a firm of solicitors called Duan & Duan UK LLP. The SRA ID is 659252. The website is www.duanduanuk.com  and the email domain is @duanduanuk.com.

Farrer and Co LLP and Duan & Duan UK LLP have confirmed they do not have any connection to the website at 'www.farerco.com'.

What should I do?
