This notification relates to a Decision to prosecute before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal. This is an independent Tribunal which reaches its own decision after considering all the evidence, including any evidence put forward by the Respondent. The Tribunal had certified that there was a case to answer.

The matter was heard on between 24 November and 5 December 2025.

The SDT ordered that Mr Navani be suspended from practice as a solicitor for a period of 12 months to commence on 5 December 2025, that period of suspension to be suspended for 2 years subject to compliance by the Respondent with the term of a Restriction Order imposing a condition on practice for a period of 2 years as follows:

The Respondent may not be involved in professional recruitment interviews and/or disciplinary investigations within any solicitors' firm.
