I have decided to grant Maame Djan-Krofa's practising certificate for the practice year 2025/2026 subject to the imposition of the following conditions:
- Maame Djan-Krofa may not act as a manager or owner of an authorised body. This condition applies with the exception of Pishon Gold Ltd (SRA number 567466).
- Subject to the first condition, Maame Djan-Krofa may act as a solicitor, only as an employee, where the role has first been approved by us. This condition applies with the exception of Pishon Gold Ltd (SRA number 567466).
- Maame Djan-Krofa may not act as a compliance officer for legal practice (COLP) or compliance officer for finance and administration (COFA) for any authorised body. This condition applies with the exception of Pishon Gold Ltd (SRA number 567466). 2.2

Reasons/basis
The above conditions are necessary in the public interest. They are reasonable and proportionate having regard to the purposes set out in regulation 7 of the SRA Authorisation of Individuals Regulations, and the regulatory objectives and principles governing regulatory activities as contained in section 28 of the Legal Services Act 2007.

Outcome of SDT Hearing
This notification relates to a Decision to bring Disciplinary Proceedings before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal. This is an independent Tribunal which reaches its own decision after considering all the evidence, including any evidence put forward by the Respondent. The Tribunal had certified that there was a case to answer.
The matter was heard on 19 and 20 March 2026.
The Tribunal ordered that Mrs Djan-Krofa be Suspended from practice as a solicitor for the period of 12 months, such suspension to be suspended for a period of 24 months to commence on the 20th day of March 2026 subject to the Restriction Order below, and that the Respondent do pay a Fine of £20,000.
Restriction Order
The Firm (SRA ID 567466) of which the Respondent is the sole authorised individual, cannot operate without employing an individual (unrelated to her) in the position of Finance Director, details of which to be provided to the SRA by 4pm on 27th March 2026.
