A website is operating at 'https://paradiselawlegal.co.uk/' claiming to be regulated by the SRA and misusing the name and details of Paradise Law Limited.

What is the scam?

The SRA has been informed that a website is operating at 'https://paradiselawlegal.co.uk/' claiming to be regulated by the SRA and misusing the name, address, SRA number and email address of a genuine firm (see genuine details below).

The website refers to a firm named 'Paradise Law Legal' and claiming to be partners with Paradise Law solicitors. The website provides the email addresses of 'Info@paradiselawlegal.co.uk' and 'Info@paradiselawsolicitors.co.uk' and a WhatsApp number '07563924263'. It also displays the SRA verified logo (link is invalid).

The SRA does not authorise and regulate a firm called 'Paradise Law Legal'.

Any business or transactions through the website at 'https://paradiselawlegal.co.uk/' or the email address 'Info@paradiselawlegal.co.uk' and 'Info@paradiselawsolicitors.co.uk' or the WhatsApp number '07563924263' are not undertaken by a firm or individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.

Is there a genuine firm or person?

The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine firm of solicitors called Paradise Law Limited (SRA ID 648827). Previously traded as Paradise Law Solicitors until August 2024. The genuine head office address for the firm is 11 St Pauls Square, Birmingham, West Midlands, B3 1RB and its genuine telephone number is 0121 285 2535. The genuine email address for the firm is s.awal@paradiselawsolicitors.co.uk and the genuine website is  https://www.paradiselawsolicitors.co.uk/.

The genuine firm has confirmed that they do not have any connection to the website or other details referred to in the above alert.

What should I do?

When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary. If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. You can contact the SRA to find out if individuals or firms are regulated and authorised by the SRA and verify an individual's or firm's practising details. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
